The Audubon Society was looking to develop a digital platform that combines multiple bird migration data sources into an engaging and educational online experience. The goal was to support multiple audiences - from the general public to scientists - highlight migration patterns, showcase local bird connections, educate on threats, drive local conservation and solicit both data and donations. FUNL conducted extensive research and developed an engaging visual prototype to explore the possibilities and create a blueprint for development.

Results
Our work helped the Audubon team prioritize and align on a solution for the platform. We presented a wide range of strategic and user experience options that had not been conceived of before.
The strong visual prototyping work set the foundation for the development of the v1 platform, which is now live at https://explorer.audubon.org
FUNL was brought in to kickstart the prototyping process for our Bird Migration Explorer tool. We had been in ideation mode for a while and FUNL helped us get stakeholder alignment, understand customer needs and create powerful prototype to visualize the experience. FUNL was a key catalyst and helped us push the envelope of what was possible.
