Exelon, the largest utility in the US, wanted to develop a startup that helps users understand and measure their environmental impact and mitigate it. FUNL served as build and marketing partner, responsible for mobile app development, user acquisition, monetization and e-commerce.

Developed acquisition and monetization model.
Designed, developed and maintained the website and iOS and Android apps, managing content centrally.
Integrated B2C and B2B product and carbon offset ecommerce and community functionality.
Managed cross-channel acquisition programs including paid and organic search, social, email, in-app, push.
Developed all content, creative, copy and technology.
Ran extensive audience and product validation experiments.
Performed weekly cohort and funnel analysis, KPI reporting and optimization of the product and marketing campaigns.

We grew the platform has over 1M users.
Due to the traction and momentum, Exelon, spun out and sold EcoCred to an outside firm, realizing its strategy as it was splitting the company and divesting its generation arm.
Once we saw how quickly the FUNL team were able to take our ideas and turn them into ‘in-the- wild’ experiments, and quickly provide real data to show if and where value existed, we knew we had the right team in place to co-create our startups.
